All examinations and x-rays

LASER DETECTION OF DECAY

We are constantly exposed to fluoride in most toothpastes and even in our water. Fluoride hardens the enamel, which means that tooth decay is find the smallest tears and beginning to grow inside the enamel. What makes this different then how things were before? Well, previously we relied on x-rays to detect growing decay (cavities). These x-rays are a great for detecting many things, but they cannot see decay (cavity) until it is fairly large and impacting the outer enamel. With Laser Detection we are able to find and correct decay (cavities) before they get out of hand.

INTRAORAL VIDEO EXAMINATIONS

Intraoral video examinations, or film, use a small camera to take pictures and video inside your mouth. This camera can have up to 25 time the magnification and the film is projected onto a screen for examination. With intraoral video examinations, we can look at things, such as plaque, decay, worn or grinded teeth, missing fillings, and more.

PERIODONTAL (GUM) TREATMENT

Periodontal, or Gum, Disease is when you have an excessive amount of plaque and tartar forming around your teeth, which can lead to deterioration of your teeth, gums, and/or jawline. If you notice red, swollen, and bleeding gums, then it is important to let us know. Most of the time, the beginning stages of periodontal disease are painless and symptoms can be hard to detect. If untreated, this disease can develop into a health risk. We offer periodontal services, including examinations, treatment, and rehabilitation.
